Gardening Classes, Seminars, & Presentations

Candace Carter is an artist, designer, entrepreneur, writer, and public speaker. Candace is also an expert gardener with over 30 years experience and is currently the president of the Claremont Garden Club.

Candace was educated in Fine Art and Agriculture at the University of Guelph. Candace is an accomplished public speaker, with a friendly and knowledgeable style, and is a graduate of the Christopher Leadership Coarse in effective public speaking. She has spoken to a wide range of audiences including: Gardening Clubs, networking groups, private companies, professional associations, government and educational institutions.

Candace is a crusader for ecologically responsible living and a passionate gardener, and it shows in her lively presentations.

• Lawnless Gardening - How and Why to go Lawnless!
• Water Gardening - How to install a water feature yourself successfully!

• Starting from seed - How to get more plants for very little money.

Presentations are offered for $150 per hour plus expenses.

Gardening Classes

Depending on demand, group classes are offered each year on various gardening topics. If you would like to learn how to garden from an expert, in a friendly hands-on environment, with a group of like minded individuals, please send us an email and we will contact you with class times and locations.

Garden Tours

Tours of Candace Carter's personal garden are fun and educational. The garden is about 1/3 of an acre with no lawn at all - the entire space is planted right out to the road. There are perennial flower gardens, shade gardens, a kitchen garden, 2 water features, green house, and nursery beds. Plants are always available for sale. Come and be inspired, and get practical tips to use in your own garden. Tours are by appointment only. Limit 12 people at a time. Cost $50 per hour.
